Tried to tell me that I owe over $3,500 in credit card debt and they were offering me a lower interest rate. When I asked him where he was calling from he said from your master card and Visa card (red flag!) and then I proceeded to tell him I owe NOTHING on credit cards, he said sorry and he hung up!
Called my cell and caller-id said "survey". Left no message and I'm glad they didn't. This is just more b.s. and I wish it would stop....
The DNC list is for legitimate telemarketing companies and businesses, but it doesn't mean anything to your common everyday scammers. Anybody can go out and buy a prepaid mobile phone and call an unsolicited number posing as banks or credit counselors attempting to scam you out of your SSN or credit card information; they don't subscribe to nor do they care about the DNC registry.
