Got a call from 434-234-0092. Caller said problem with my credit card account and I needed to call immediately. Hung up. Total scam.

I didn't answer the call from this number, and immediately got a call from an unknown number that was a recording of the "there's a problem with your credit card" scam.

I got a call too, but I didn't answer or call back. I'm pretty sure their "press 1 to be put on don't call list" is a scam as well. I think it just confirms for them that you're a live person with a working number. Come on people, you think you can trust them to leave you alone at your request when they had no right to bother you in the first place? Don't answer these calls.

I received a call from 434-234-0092 on 7/1 on my cell phone. I do not answer unknown numbers because I have hundreds of calls from scammers already. It seems they all start calling around the same time of the month as I had already received a couple of calls from other unknown numbers and just received another one from an "unknown" number this morning.

I decided to answer the phone and tell whoever this is that I don't need their calls. When the chick at the other end said she wanted to "lower the interest rates on [my] Visa MasterCard" it was apparent she was a scammer. She then asked me for my credit card expiration date, and then the credit card number.Legitimate companies WILL NOT ask for the credit card number. You will never be asked to give the whole number out to the creditor on any medium. Therefore if anyone claiming to represent the credit company or someone affiliated with them asks for the credit card number, hang up. That person is attempting to steal your credit card information.

Wouldn't say anything when I answered. Sick and tired of these kind of calls. How can we stop them?

Wow, this guy's been busy today. I got a call also, name showed "Survey", no message left. Thanks to all of you, I blocked the number -- no further problems.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone here in the Northeast US on Thursday, July 2 about 2:15 pm. I was suspicious, assumed it could be a scam call. I did NOT pick up and answer. When I did an Internet reverse phone lookup of this number the database said "Landline, Charlottesville, VA". No voicemail message was left.
