You are right. Initially it holds our hands (once), ha. Then Wam, Bam, the money wheels start turning...... for others.
I don't need some stranger coming into my home "to give (me) an assessment and get your medical history. and make sure I am seeing all the right docs. I'm 80 years old for god's sake, I've taken care of myself for an awful long time and am still going strong. My doctor has my medical history and it's no one else's business. UHC is carrying it too far to the point of intrusion into my privacy.
The lady on the other end left a message to be sure and call them back about something of major importance! They are nothing more than a telemarketer attempting to sell you medical care!
I was left a message and it IS United Health Care calling to see if you would like to take advantage of the House Calls program as it is one of the built-in benefits.
This "Housecalls" number often does leave a voice message for me, although when they called today, they did not. I never call them back, however.
I'm insured through United Health care AARP. The calls became annoying. I downloaded Truecaller app and on my phone, enabled Blocking Mode. I never hear the phone ring when they call now.
United Healthcare has contracted out these 'house calls', per ACA (Obamacare) requirements. It is a scam, just like the law itself. They don't leave a message and you can't 'opt-out'. I recommend adding the number (443-492-28xx) to your call reject list.
