The caller told me he was calling from Windows and that my computer was sending them error messages all week. He asked me to go to my computer so he could help me fix it.I told him that I didn't have a computer. He said, "you don't have a computer? You are in Canada, get out of my country!"

The bot didn't send me through to an agent this time, but my usual response is to say "I work for Microsoft too! (I do not) Which office are you in? I work in the fraud division - I'll IM you on the internal system...". They usually hang up. I have also said I know they are a scam based in India - he got very upset and said that he was in Pakistan. Didn't deny that it was a scam, just insulted I hadn't gotten the origin correct.

I keep getting calls from this number

I received a call from this number on November 17 and again on November 18. I hang up after I say Hello the second time. There is static on the line, no voice.

I got a call last night from this number at 1122pm, lucky I didn't make it to the phone in time!

This is the second time I have received caller saying they work for windows and ask me to go to computer so they can fix windows problems. Can't someone stop these scams?

Microsoft will NOT cold call you to fix/repair ANYTHING on your computer! They do NOT monitor your computer!--------------------------------------------------That said, I had a friend fall for this call a few months back and it cost him ~$400 to work with a REAL Microsoft Tech that HE contacted in order to undo what this group did to him when they installed trojans, background monitoring and download software. He also had to report and cancel his credit card and change all of his online passwords. "They sounded genuine and explained everything that was happening on my screen!" Told him it's the old watch the pretty lights while my pal picks you clean;)--------------------------------------------------The guy on my call gave me the same speech about my computer running very slowly due to viruses and clutter. And he offered the same very low one-time service fee that was available only during this call.I played dumb and asked how he knew that was the issue and he replied they have Windows services reporting performance (which they DON'T). I then asked him which computer he needed access to as I have multiple laptops and desktops. He said, he'd need access to all of them in order to identify the problem system. *hooked*I then asked him, "If you have the service support logs that tied my install to my name and contact number then you should just be able to give me the last 4 characters of my registration number so we can identify the one having issues." Song and dance follows about that information not showing up on his screen and it taking only a minute to look- all he needed was my credit card info, the IP to my computer and a couple of clicks to open it. He also tried to sweeten the deal by saying he could optimize any of my other computers for $5 each while I was on this call. "ONLY $5 each?!? That's cheap!"I asked him if he could give me my support ticket number in case I lost the call because my phone was dropping calls due to a bad connection and he spewed some numbers and letters at random that weren't proper and he never repeated his name or extension.Told him, "I don't think we can continue ... since I'm a *REAL* MCSE and THAT was obviously a fake ticket number..." He cursed at me and hung up LOL I loved wasting this jerks time!

I got a call from this number at midnight. Fortunately, I had left the bedroom phone downstairs so did not actually answer it. The message left on the answering machine was not decipherable.When I have answered the calls saying something is wrong with my Windows computer, I tell them I only use LINUX!

Annoying call in violation of no call list. Bring the troops home from Afganistan and hunt and kill these terrorists.

Received a call at 10:58pm at night! Very unsettling! Telephone solicitation. We are on no call list but does no good! Please Stop calling.
