Caller ID: Informed Electo. 2 benign calls initially asking 1 question. 3rd call requesting donation to continue making survey calls that will impact on the desires of the American people to keep elected officials accountable. $25. No. Quickly went to $10. No. I hung up.
"Informed Electo" on caller ID called at 8:15 AM. I was asleep having a beautiful dream and the phone woke me up. Thanks a lot. Caller left no message.
Says "informed electo" called me at 8:46am. I turn my answer machine off all night until 8:30am. If they can't get you to answer they will try someone else. I bought new "panasonic" phones that i can set up to block all phone calls, and ringing at certain times of the day or all night. [ it does not ring during those hours] don't give anyone your personal information or credit card numbers no matter what they say. I call the number on the back of my card to check on everything. I am blocking all these scam calls.
After 2 calls over a period of about week and a half, asking political questions. On the third call they wanted 25.00 donation to keep their organization going for the people. I said "No" They suggested 10.00 would help, which I said "sorry, no can do."
Received many nightly calls from this number. Finally talked to a man on the other end doing a so-called survey, giving me a breakdown of what they are proposing to government officials. Called back tonight asking me to commit to $25.00 donation. When I asked for proof that they are legit, he said he would put me on a "do not call list".
Called me said answer yes or no only asked if I voted I said yes asked if I could state my name I did then asked if they could call again I said I guess whatever I thought it has something to do with jury duty letter I got recently than my husband said he heard something on the news about a scam ! I won't be answering again can I block them??
Called. Left no message. Then I heard on the news, that scammers are now asking a leading question, and recording your voice. Hoping you'll say "Yes", so they can cut and paste that into some vocal contract. And then claim that you, said "Yes" to paying for something. I've thought of them doing this a year ago. What's taken them so long? Morons. So it's best never to say "Yes" to things, over the phone. No surveys, polls, or anything. Nor respond to any unknown callers. Because they'll manipulate you. And especially don't answer your phone, "Yes, what is it?". Like they might do on a Tv show, or in a movie. So many bad practices, these script writers come up with. Maybe they're related to these scammers. And are trying to program us, to be stupid victims.
