This caller is an Avatar system. It's a smart computer with pre-recorded messages. You can ask it amazingly simple math questions or common knowledge questions to find it won't answer. It is programmed to answer questions like who are you and where are you calling from, but it will ignore other questions or respond with I'm sorry I didn't catch that, I was just saying... and go back into it's program. Technology has come a long way.This last time he called, he asked for $20, when I said no, he asked for $10. DON'T give the machine any money!

July 20, 2016 - the devious "Informed Electorate PAC" political survey scam appears to be continuing, with new phone number(s). Today I got a call from 312-667-9781, with caller ID "SURV INF ELEC". On the first call a couple of weeks ago they said they were "non-partisan" and asked only for answers to a series of political issue questions in 40-second survey. Because they said they were non-partisan I gave them my answers. They said I had been helpful and asked if they could call again "in a few weeks" with another short survey. I said OK if it was short. They called today and again asked for 40 seconds of my time for s short survey, but this time they wanted $20 to continue, saying the contribution would defray their costs and they would send the results of their survey(s) if I paid. I never give my credit card info or other personal info to unknown callers - and now I see this chain of consumer alerts to this scam.BE CAREFUL about anonymous phone surveys that ask for donations in this heated election period!

We can put scammers out of business if we all agree to not answer that number we don't know. If in doubt, run the number through the free Spy Dialer. If it is someone you know, you can always call them back

I began getting these calls from Informed Electorate a couple weeks ago but the call id is different--469-701-0053. The call pattern is EXACTLY the same. Same lines as on their web page. Same 2 calls with one question. Same 3rd call asking for donation. Same initial request for $20. Same secondary request for $10. Same offer to delay contribution for 45 days. Uhhh, do ya think it's the same scam??? VERY slick! I'll be looking into getting this number blocked.Oh, one additional item. When I said I wouldn't contribute a dime until I did some research he asked if they could snail mail material to me. I agreed (dummy) so now they have my address!

Whomever this is/was just called, When answering the phone I heard two clicks but no one said anything so I immediately hung up the phone. Will not be answering any calls from this company or number again.

I.E Pac called and asked if I'd voted in the last election, answer yes or no. My response "click" and then call blocked.

No message left. Area code from Georgia

1- 470 344-6748 Caller I.D. said it was: I.E. PAC. A man verified my name & asked one question: Did I vote in the last presidential election. I answered "yes". When I asked where he was calling from/who was he with, he said "ok thank you". I when I repeated my question, he just said ok thank you again & hung up on me. Legitimate surveys would not have a problem identifying their selves.

Called and asked if I voted in last election for President. I said "yes" and he wanted to know if he could call back later. He wanted to know my first name so he would know who to ask for. He said it was a survey, not affiliated with Dems or Republicans. Leery about calls like this.

This number called a few minutes ago. Caller ID says: I.E. PAC. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.
