A recorded womans voice stating that the owner of the phone is past due on a bill and they have been hired to collect it. Funny thing is that we are not past due on any bill and don't owe anything to anyone. I believe these people are part of a scam network designed to extract personal information from the household called.They are looking for your name, because they don't know it, address, ss#, and anything else that they can extract from you. You have to provide that to them to prove to them that you do not owe anything, what a joke. Idiots. I hope they get caught and hung.I am convinced that an identity theft network is at the base of this outfit.

Called my home saying that i put in a job application with them and wanted to know all where I worked and wanted to know if I was a good employee. Also called my cell phone number, but did not because I recognized the number. The party did not leave message.

Actuall, I got that same recorded message, stating that if I was NOT this person, to hang up. They're a private debt collection agency, contracted by the federal government.The debt they're calling about, at least in my case, is completely legitimate. It's a federal school loan.Sometimes we ignore/forget those.

got a call 6-21-08 3:02 pm. i was half asleep when answered, i dont remember the whole phone call. recorded message saying that our household owed money to the new mexico city attorneys office and to call some random toll free number. i will be reporting this phone number to donotcall.gov as well

They work with NelNet which is a collge loan service. If you do not pay your bill they turn it over to this company. They might do several comapnies.

We have received several calls from this number, using a recorded message. I have told someone that they have the wrong number. I have NEVER had a federal college loan. Maybe the person who previously had this number owes it. I have fielded several collection calls for that person!

I kept getting calls from this number and today I finally answered. This lady knew my name because I state my name in my voicemail. As soon as I answered, it was a very rude lady asking. "Is this Shannon", I didnt answer and asked who it was, she said "Christy, is this shannon?" I didnt answer her and asked again who she was, she snapped back at me and said, "I asked you first! Are you Shannon??" Very rudely. I lied and I told her no, because I dont know who the heck this person is. Then she snapped again and said fine we will do what we have to do, then I hung up. I do not owe anyone anything, no college loans. I just recently got calls from this number the past few days. I tried dialing the number back and a recording said that the number was no longer in service. Very strange.

I have also been getting calls from this number beginning just recently. In my case, similar reason as American_Hammer, it's related to collection of a student loan past due.

they called my grandparents house today asking questions @ me.....saying i put their numbers down as references! knowingly i didn't they were just trying to get my information! somebody needs to find out who these ppl r and put a stop to it!!

I get calls from them everyday and have spoken to the Christy mentioned above. The name of this company is Premiere Credit. They are a collection agecy and mainly for federal loans. Although extremely annoying, they are ligit. They have a website when you google them and they can be reached at 866-383-9063.
