i got a call from that number too. i think it's from the houston county jail.

No clue who it is. I answered and they said it was a collect call, so I hung up.

I have no idea who this is but they called me like 5 times in 10 minutes at like 11 oclock

It's an inmate calling from the Houston county jail.

It claims to be an inmate from Houston Country jail. But it's a recorded name that u can't understand n sound like they could be from India!! Then they want you to press certain numbers to stop the calls or to block it gives an 800 number. We were unable to BLOCK this number they Verizon!!! They CALL at different times, weekends n Sundays n i believe they are the same ones who keep sending text messages with SCAM type jobs n then says to text back STOP if you no longer want these texts. I kept deleting but almost daily i was getting more. So i text STOP to 1 and that is when these calls Started! THEY JUST CALLED BACK AGAIN WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS!!!!! 4-5 times already in the past hour or 2.. THE POLICE NEED to trace and STOP THESE SCAMS!!!!!

They called me on Thanksgiving (2017). I didn't answer. I actually do know who the person in jail is which is why I didn't answer. I tried to call it back and it was something about Paytell. When I listened to the voicemail, it did not leave a name of who was calling (it normally would). It went through the rest of the prompts, just not the name of the caller. It also would say something about an inmate at the county jail..but that was not there either.I am assuming this was some bull [***]...
