I have the same thing

I just got a call from 480-477-0343. He was asking for donations for the American Sheriff's Office. I don't give to strangers. He hung up.

I have received a call from this number before, the same thing each time. "John" calling from some type of association for Sheriff's that donates money to fallen officers. The call was a robot voice.I know that police and fire groups don't solicit for donations through phone calls. How do we catch this person?

I got a call from a dude with a deep voice saying he is from the sheriff association. I snickered a bit because I know it is fake and he hung up.

This number was in the reject this of my phone system with name from Caller-ID saying "AZ HSI" which if you google suggests Homeland Security Investigations. I could not find anything close to a legit match with searches I did.. Given that others here said they were asked for donations for police, it looks like a scam. Would the real HS put their name in CID (I've seen our government do dimmer things but..) or would they use it for telemarketing?? I somehow doubt it! High chance a scam, so in the least I would not give any money or personal info! If federal gov really wants to talk to you I suspect they have more discreet and reliable ways (I hope!)

Someone named John called at 8pm AZ time...lost the connection and didn't call back. Sounded like a scam.
