Godaddy doesn't call people at all, randomly, or if you purchased something. I have been with godaddy for years and just received this call for the first time now. It isn't really godaddy, I am fairly certain. read my post about it.
Received a call today from this 480 505 8859 and let it go to VM but no msg lft thought I would check it out. I have recent correspondence from GO DADDY about a renewal and the number to call for service is 480-505-8877 so most likely this is a sub line in their system
THESE SCAMMERS KNOW THAT GODADDY SENDS OUT A LOT OF ALERTS IN EMAIL. so they inow you will think it is godaddy when they call you. It isn't godaddy. in fact the people who we should all be telling about this, is godaddy itself. tell them about this phone number and these strange and inappropriate calls . Godaddy will want to preserve their good name and might just go after this scammola spammola phone phishing outfit, XO ARIZONA, INC. who uses this number 480-505-8859.
We've received at least 12 calls from this number -- all hang ups with no message left on voice mails. The rule around here is: If you don't leave a VM message you are marked as a spammer or outright scam call. Wise up GoDaddy -- if this truly is GoDaddy customer service calling -- and leave a message if you want us to pick up or call back.
oh so they didn't used to have a caller id name. well you probably tipped them off, so now they put in godaddy so they can look legit....it seems.
This number called me at 9 AM (no voice mail) and again at 11 AM. Left a voice-mail this time and it was a pre recorded WELCOME MESSAGE from Go Daddy.com. I set up our account last night with GO DADDY
Yeah, GoDaddy is terrible with this stuff - upgrades, spend more for this and that, with slow service. HUGE regret I signed on with them!
