Select "Imposter/Romance Scam" > "Imposter" > "Pretend to be a representative or employee of a business"
Account Services recorded message something to the effect "there are no problems with your credit card at the moment, but we have a time limited offer that is about to expire to lower your interest rates. To speak to a CSR push 1". So I push 1 and a "Stephanie" comes on "Are you calling about lowering your credit card interest rate today?" I actually get to speak a whole sentence before she hangs up on me this time. Told her I get numerous calls from them, am not interested, am on the national do-not-call registry and want to be removed from there calling/telemarketing system. Click she hangs up after that...
Credit Card Rate reduction. Asked if I was responding to rate reduction. I said I don't know, you called me and lady hung up!
Do not, I repeat: DO NOT answer these calls. The more you answer the call, the more the calls come. I have been dealing with these imposters for over a year now. I have over 10 numbers saved listed under spam with the same greeting. If you answer/speak to them, they will call you back since the system now knows its a valid number.
I get this same company calling me about once a month from different numbers. I always get into a yelling match with these people.. it seems they thrive on it. A true professional would not engage in combative conversations. I live in California.. the area code 480 is in Arizona yet someone from here says they are in Riverside. About 15 years ago before phone scamming was really a big deal someone called me and told me they had interest money they could refund and all they had to do was get my credit card number and they would credit my account. I almost fell for it and stopped short at the last 4 digits of my number. The guy started yelling at me and I hung up. Now this stuff is rampant and there are people losing their money and their identities. Law enforcement needs to shut these idiots down.
I won't answer I don't know. If I wanted your service, I would find your number and call! Leave me alone. I pay my phone bill for my use not for strange calls that don't leave a message.
