This number called and claimed they were with Windows Operating System. OH REALLY!!!!!

No, dear... You are probably still on DNC. These are scammers: outlaws who disregard DNC and your personal wishes. You are experiencing an uptick because we all are. You're not alone.

They are getting more sophisticated or so they think. The person that talked to me said that the governor of Texas had picked me and they mentioned my name to get a money grant for my college tuition. I stopped him right the and told him that the call was probably for my son that I was way past college age. He proceeded to ask when would be the best time to call and talk to my son. I said tomorrow morning or the next morning. and he hung up.

I set my only phone an Android phone to "do not disturb" between 10pm and 7am. so do not get awakened in the night. I block every call that I can't put a name to. This has cut my calls down to almost zero.... almost

Three calls today from 1-482-458-9112. Just heavy breathing. Enough of this. How can it be stopped.

If you can't block with app or phone company, try select call forwarding one terrorist to another.

They have called twice... he says his name is Jake and he is from technical support. They wanted my husband to turn on our computer so Jake could show him. When I answered the phone, I told Jake that I knew this was a scam call and not to phone again.

Foreign woman's voice; sounded Indian; another I'm-from-windows scammer. When I said I bet you're going to ask to access my computer, she hung up.

Maybe it's time for us to initiate a class-action lawsuit against the Telecoms for allowing spoofing in the first place. I'll bet they could do something about their crappy Caller ID software if we forced them to.
