The DNC doesn't stop illegal scammers. How can it?

Didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. No message left. Probably a scam after reviewing all of these notes.

I received a recorded call this morning at 10:30 a.m. from this number. I answered the call and it was a recording telling me I had won a Bahamas cruise and all I had to do was answer a short survey. I hung up. I am on the No-Call List for marketers and am very upset that I would get a call like this.

If you have an iPhone go into the list of recent calls tap the I in the circle on the right. Opens a new page scroll to the bottom and tap Block this caller.

CallerID for 502-612-9018 showed "Cell Phone KY"Anyone who uses an internet-based phone system can program a CallerID to be whatever they want so a number can look like it's legit but the caller can be anywhere in the world. That's why many of those posting here who try to call back get a "disconnected" or "not in service" message. The number is "spoofed". I don't pick up any number I don't recognize and let it roll to voicemail. If it's legit, the caller will leave a message and most robo-dialed calls will drop off before the end of the greeting, timed just for that purpose. Call blocking helps, but doesn't go far enough in some cases.

Got call about 17:45 today. Was on another call. Called it back and got message from verizon as a disconnected number

Same as already entered. Disconnected @ verizon. No message left. Daily calls, disappears for awhile then calls start again. I have even had my home phone number call me at home which demonstrated the wonders of spoofing.
