Got a call from them at 8:40pm. Hung up before it went to VM, they called right back, I hung up again and they stopped. Showed on ID as Bernett R, googled it and found the website others have mentioned here. Went to their website www.bernett.com, found a section to remove my phone number. You have to click on "About Us" on the home page left hand menu, then on that page you will find the "Remove my phone number" feature on the upper right. Unfortunately, research and survey companies are among those not subject to the Telemarketing act. However, if I don't recognize the number, I don't answer or hang up before it gets to VM. In addition, my phone provider has a "number reject" option, and it works. Great way to get rid of almost any persistent caller, even bill collectors give up after a while, particularly when I program in every number they try.Caller ID and Caller Reject: best phone features ever invented!

Caller ID " Bernett Info" Caller let the phone ring three times and then hung up. Another number for call block. I will be glad when the phone companies block all robo calls. All robo calls should be illegal; no matter who is making the call charity, political party, survey, etc.

Have gotten several phone calls from this number within the past month and have never answered; good to know I made the right decision. Went on the website provided and removed myself from the calling list. Completely ridiculous.

I just got a call and he claimed they were doing a community project and wanted my husbands input . Saw the area code far from mine and knew it was scam. Do not answer. told him my husband would not be home ti very late and gave no info . Said there was no point in calling back. Doesn't mean he won't but thanks for all the info i can share about the number. Just another number to block. Where do they get numbers this far away??

Yeah, Im getting them too. Ive had enough and now have a coach's whistle next to the phone....in addition to caller ID. They're about to get an ear full.....

I answered a call from this number this evening. It was fine. They are a polling firm for the upcoming elect. Just the usual questions about whether I planned to vote in November and for whom.

Called twice after 9:30 PM, last one at 9:55. I've blocked this "research" group many times but it's a game of whack-a-mole with robo dialing spoofed number users. This never ceases to amaze me how any moron making the calls can think this is an appropriate time to call, in a weekday no less. I know they're not the sharpest tools in the shed but it's pretty basic info that calls late at night aren't usually welcome by anyone. The odds of me taking a survey are zero on any given day when called during the work day; calling me at home after 9:30 is utterly stupid. Who in the world do they think is going to want to play along then?

.... First of all, stop typing in all-caps: it's considered to be screaming, called "flaming," and is extremely rude online etiquette. This is a courteous website. Secondly: why are you telling them to stop calling here? Do you think they are checking with this private website? Or that they will heed your demands? Thirdly: don't make threats that are useless, empty and silly. The cops won't do anything about calls unless your life is literally being threatened, and surveys aren't a threat, and it will take a long time with procedures like call tracing and other legal complications to even prove to the cops you are being threatened, before they can get involved, and annoying inconsiderate sham-survey calls are not life-threatening.

Surveys don't have to comply with DNC. Of course, many are sham surveys that are just lead-ins to a sales or political pitch. And don't forget, if these are really just criminals, that criminals don't comply with ANY laws anyway.
