You people are idiots, one, telemarketer rules do not apply to tele-survey companies. Two, if you hang up they are allowed to call you right back. Three, it doesn't matter if your number is unlisted or on the National Do Not Call list, as NDNCL is for TELEMARKETERS, Tele-surveyors have their own DNC. If you have a problem with telesurveys, call the companies that HIRED the Market Research company and tell them that you do not want to be called. Places like Bernett Research are only third parties who are not trying to sell anything. And they can't be expected to know that you pay for limited minutes, or do not want to be called. Grow up, and stop acting like children and just politely tell them to put you on a DNC.

Just got a call from them at 10:32 PM. I proceeded to tell the rude man on the other end that it was past 10 on a school night but all he said was sorry. When I asked what the research was regarding he repeated what he had just said about it being a short research survey. How awful. I completely understand the need for research and them not being included in the telemarketers who the Do Not Call List is meant for, but seriously? Calling this late? Ridiculous!

This number just called me and didn't leave a message. It's a Saturday, about 7:20PM. I'm assuming they are a survey company. Just plain annoying. I'm on the do not call list, too, but these companies always skirt around that.

I just got a call from them, also (10:42pm). They were conducting a survey regarding issues affecting California. My husband and I couldn't figure out why they were calling so late. (I told the caller "sorry, but it's REALLY late and I'm getting ready for bed". He said sorry, but you'd think that they'd realize how rude it is to even attempt to get decent responses from people this late at night.) I am calling them numbers listed by "outraged" on 9/2/10 to register my complaint.

Called us at 10:15pm this evening. When I said "it's past 10pm, it's a little late for a survey," the guy replied, "yeah, it's late but we have to call." I said some choice words and hung up on him. What the hell?
