Caller identified self as calling for RDD in order to take a survey for the government of county I dwell in. Call came in at around 7pm showingphone number with "unknown name" on caller ID. Surveyor told to call after the 20th as I had no time for them now.
This is a market research company. The Do No Call list does not apply to these calls. If you ask them to add you to their Do Not Call list they will stop calling you.
Called 6:48 pm 10/17. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Let it go to voice mail. Did not leave a message. Even though we are on the no call list, we are getting several phone calls each day from scammers and telemarketers. The No Call Registry is a JOKE.
I received a call from 503-977-6714 (RDD Field Services) - some lady asked for our "spec writer". Naturally, as all 'spec writers' are busy and most do not take these types of calls, I asked her if I could help her. She rudeley said 'are you the spec writer' - I replied "no, I am not, but maybe if you tell me your question, or what project you are calling about, I may be able to help". She replied - "well, if you were a spec writer, you would know the answer, but you're not" - and hung up! I have never heard such an unprofessional response as this in my lifetime!
The caller asked for my husband by name. They call daytime, evening and weekends. I believe they are doing some kind of market research & got our number because my husband has participated in legit surveys for other companies - once you do that, they sell your number to Everyone! This is Not an Ad, but we bought new house phones that have the ability to block calls from any numbers that call you that you don't want. Panasonic makes the set of phones we bought, but I'm sure other companies sell similar products...If you need to update your house phones, now is a really good time because the new ones have cool features
"Market Decision" called my number on a Sunday at 8pm. Left no message. No kidding it's a phony name.I just keep reporting them to the National Call Registry EVERY TIME! I just heard on Public Radio that they've put an injunction in place to shut down another P.I.T.A. "Card Services". I'm trying something else I read about. Will let you know if it works. Go on YouTube and download the "Disconnected Number Tone" audio. Record it on your outgoing phone message. The tone tricks these robocallers into thinking yours is not a working number. Preface the tone with a SHORT message for your friends/family and genuine business associates to leave name/number/message so they won't think your number is out of service. (a robocall doesn't know the difference. it's the TONE that trips the invalid number response)And just to make yourself feel better, watch the YouTube video "Tom Mabe Murder Scene Prank Call"
Just received a call from this number. Didn't recognize it, so let it go to voicemail. No message left. Googled the number and got this page.I'm also on the No Call Registry so no clue as to why I'm getting pinged by whoever the hell this is.
