I got this phone call today! I got my new phone number today to. What the hell.... less than 8 hours and my phone is already in the hands of a scammer??
so i see that there are others reciving calls form this number. as a rule of thumb once a call is made to me form a outside local area code or form one i am not familiar i allways leave the call to go to vm.. then i google.. realistically if there was a good offer comming my way i would like to think they would let me call them back.. otherwise its the good old metafor that if it looks too good to be true.. it probibly is..
I didn't answer the call knowing that I know nobody in the 508 area code. They still left a VM (definitely a recorded msg) which said, "... your prize. Press "to receive..." and the recording got chopped like they 'knew' that they were leaving a VM.
I received a call on my cell....I hardly ever use my cell and only my family and friends know the number....How did they get it??? I would not answer anyway unless I knew the incoming call number.......What a waste of minutes.........
i just got this call on my cell at 12:30 pm in New York. The Spanish recording tells you that you've won a prize and to press 1 if you want to accept it. Then you're transferred to a live Spanish-speaking person, who says you've qualified for a prize and that you need to be registered in their system. She then asks if you're older than 25. I said no (even though i am) and she thanked me and hung up. When i called the number back, I got an "all circuits busy" recording.
