Robot call to my 'on the DNC list' CELL phone (which is twice illegal) offering a discount to my energy bill (then I disconnected).

Caller ID says "Framingham MA". They leave no message.I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). After a brief pause, I hear "We're sorry your call can not be completed at this time. Please, hang up and try your call again later. Thank You" Then it hangs up.So they spoof their caller ID and don't seem to be able to be called back. Smells like a SCAM.Based on other calls that I have received and the reports in this thread, I believe this is some type of energy SCAM.There seem to be 3 basic energy scams:1) Phishing for information. Sometimes this can be leveraged to build a profile of you for assorted nefarious purposes. Do not give them any accurate information!2) Switching to a better electric/gas rate. They offer variable rate energy that will likely save you a small amount of money in the short term. They offer rebates that will likely never materialize. At some point the rates will skyrocket without notice. Although you can "cancel anytime" they are near impossible to reach. All they need to switch you is your account number; DO NOT give it to them.3) Solar panels. There are some unsavory installers. They promise one thing and deliver another. The cost will likely be higher, the savings and reliability lesser. Most of these have long term contracts with long term issues potentially including a lien on your house. If you want these panels, spend the likely substantial time researching the type of panels and the reputation of installers that YOU FIND; not ones that call you. Take any contract to your lawyer before signing/agreeing to anything.

Phony Eversorce number. Call on a saturday afternoon right at meal time.

This is a new-to-me scammer. And my first attempted scam today !!

I got the Eversource call. 6:05, just in time for dinner. caller ID says FRAMINGHAM, MA

Fast busy when I attempt to call back. Reports Framingham Ma in caller id

left no message. ### Can we all get together some how and get something done about these callers. You would think with all the tech people, the politicians, and the people just tired of getting these call that someone would put an end to it.

I find the phone companies that sell these numbers responsible for what comes from them. These companies know who owns them why aren't they doing anything about these calls?
