Received a call from this number. It is MRSI a marketing research firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. If you call their number, they provide an email address if you would like to have your number removed from their list
Got a call from 513-639-2399 on 2010-10-19 20:04:18Did not answer, they did not leave any messagesCalifornia USA
My complaint was originally with MRSI at #513-639-2399, but after reading a complaint from this guy Brandon on May 9th 2010, I'm adding him to my list as well. This guy is a telemarketer and has the nerve to complain about this company when he does the same crap for some other company!!!!!!
Thanks for the post. I received a call today as well.. it infuriates me, esp. since I have a non-pub number. I hate solicitation calls and for whatever reason they think it's okay to just ask you personal questions. NOT
I've been getting multiple calls a day from this number for the past week. Very annoying and frustrating. Did some digging.....As mentioned above, this is a market research company (MRSI). As I understand it, they do market research primarily in regards to health care industry and get your name from drug companies, pharmacies, doctors, etc - they get paid to find out how you like what drugs you are taking, what decisions guided you to drug so and so over drug this and that etc etc etc. They call to ask your opinion on things, get you to take surveys for them which they use for market analysis for their clients (eg: drug companies). Since they are not selling anything, they are not "telemarketers" per se, they are immune from the "do not call" lists. If you are on any prescription drugs, have ever filled out any rebate forms for stuff bought ina pharmacy, have a membership card at places like riteaid/cvs, have ever contacted a drug company with questions, that is probably how you got into their database.
I have a VOIP phone service that allows me to direct any call anywhere I choose. When I get a one of these annoying calls, such as the one from 513-639-2399, I make a simple entry in my routing list and the next time they call the phone is picked up by a recored message that tries to sell them some useless item. My phone does not ring when anyone on that list calls. I can find out who on the list has called by looking at my phone logs online. Many of these dim bulbs continue to call even though each time they do, they get a recorded sales pitch! Gotta Laugh! Unfortunately the DO NOT CALL registry is not all it is cracked up to be.
I call tehir number and received a long automated message explaining that they are NOT telemarketers...just surveyers so they do NOT appy to the Do NOT Call Registry...then they proceeded to give me an email address if I wanted put on their Do NOT Call List:If you want their calls to stop, do the following: Send an email to: DoNotCall@mrsi.com with Do NOT Call request in the subject line.I have submitted mine =)
