Stop calling

Mine was slightly different. They called and told me they were Bell internet, and that my computer was sending personal information to the Bell server for quite some time. I told them my computer was shut down for the whole night and I just woke up to the sound of the phone... thank to them, so my computer was not sending anything to anyone for any length of time lately.Then they asked me to go to the computer and remove the hard drive, to which I answered they had called the wrong number to try that kind of scam, and I hung up.I just shiver at the idea of some elderly person being panicked by that kind of people and trying to dismantle their computer or something...They did have my full name (but also does the phonebook) and I am on the "Do No Call List". That didn't stopped them.

Merci à Phil Brooks ... je viens d'appeler au 1-800-404-2464 pour faire enlever mon numéro de téléphone de la liste car depuis hier soir, je recevais un appel longue distance 1-514-982-9805 et je commençais à m'inquiéter puisque lorsque mon conjoint ou moi répondions, il n'y avait personne qui nous parlait. Merci beaucoup :)

No need to be harsh I called five min ago and they remove me of the list immediatly... really pleasent with me, and transfer me to someone who talk english.... Pas besoin d'etre déplaisant, j'ai appellé il y a 5 minutes et il m'ont offert de m'enlever de la liste immediatement , il m'ont même transféré a quelqu'un qui parlait anglais quand je leur ai demandé... ils ont été gentils et courtois.

Hey i got the same problem for a few weeks now, they call, don't talk or leave any message, never answer when u call back!! I thought it was some kind of stupid jokes from lil bratz, it's annoying damn it! But after reading theses messages i know what to do now, I hope they won't bother me anymore =) thx to the helpers!

I can see on the call display they call a few times a day.....close to a dozen so far in a week....the 2 times I picked up, said Hello 3 or 4 times, waited to see if some telemarketing machine would come on... nobody replied...then they hung up ...that does not sound like a survey...that sounds like someone checking to see when you are at home. I don't see why a survey company would call... not talk...and then hang up.

same number for me ..... I have just changed my plan with my cellular compagny and since the 514-982-9805 is calling 5 or 6 time by day.... I just want it stop ..... It freak me .... thank you for the advice , I ll try!!

they called just 1 minute ago and when I answered nobody talked.It's not the first time.
