The number they just called ME on is an UNLISTED business number. There is no way they should even HAVE it. I saw "PRINCETON DATA" on Caller ID and a long distance number so picked up/hung up w/o answering to break the call and 'confuse' the robodialer. Came here, saw that they are BULLSH*T and now they will be BLOCKED.Running an ad on Craigs List. I didn't have this problem until they started MAKING us put our phone number in another field, separate from the ad, so that ROBODIALERS can MINE the numbers for more SPAM. THANKS CRAIGS LIST [***]!

Very funny,Who uses a gov site to ask not to be called and then ask who is the government to regulate who can call her? Sound quiet delusional to me. Best advice here is to do as AJ has suggested request not to be called anymore. Also politeness is simply respecting yourself and it will usually get you further along. If someone is rude to me why should I care to respect their wishes someone else will call and maybe they will help you get the relieve you desire, it's just common sense. Finally, most people complain about receiving calls on Sunday, my question is why do you hold that day in reverence, are you actually keeping the day holy? Answer for most is no and all others then you should know better their is simply no excuse for being an idiot, rude or otherwise.

Called me cell phone how'd they get that??? Lady said "I know I'm calling a cell #, this isn't a sales call, it's a survey" I hung up......

I started saying ("YOU get paid to do this. Why should I do your job for FREE?? How are YOU going to Compensate ME for MY Time?") that in the 1980's when they started calling for surveys - during dinnertime - then. I usually got an argument from the tool on the other end. So I usually just had to rudely hang up on the SOBs in the end.That's when I started doing what I do now; pick up/hang up without answering at all. Same as the 'old days', I just eliminate the interaction! Usually, although not always, stops them cold, and often I don't get more calls - or only one if I'm not home to intercept it.Now I have a blocker, so after the first attempt, they are toast. LOVE that Blocker!

One more thing,I don't think I've ever in my life heard such ignorant talk before. Stop for a minute and just listen to yourself. One must know everyone is a stranger at first until they get to know one another. But I do get your pea brain point. Its a tough place we live, but also it got this way by people just like you. Now if you could think about it for a moment, the very medium we turn down because we claim we are to busy or uninterested could be the very key to resolving our greater common issues. Just think about, this unhealthy talk we are ingaged in is the problem adding more conflict but the healthy conversations in which most researching organizations are interested in throughout history proves to be a vital part to resolution.

They have been calling me all day and won't stop and won't leave a message! I finally had to leave a message and let them know that I am at the hospital because someone in my family is ill! I was very stern in my message to say the least. They better not call my cell phone again.

I don't care WHAT the DoNotCall List rules are, in MY house that is TOO LATE TO CALL on a work/school night when we are trying to get kids ready for bed and the next day's work and school. WHO is the government to tell US WHAT calls are "Allowed" and WHEN?? Don't WE get a say in WHO calls us on the phone equipment and lines WE PAY FOR??? How do I know a "legit" survey from a SCAM? WHY must I share private info? - and my OPINIONS are PRIVATE if I SAY SO! WHY must I "Tell them 'not to call'?" WHY isn't my registration ON the DO-NOT-CALL-List ENOUGH? Why would I register for a such a LIST and then LET "The List" TELL ME who is allowed to call me and WHEN? Since WHEN is the government allowed to tell me that I 'HAVE' to talk to STRANGERS who COLD CALL me in MY OWN HOME (that *I* PAID FOR and for which I *PAY TAXES*) when I won't even talk to strangers who come to my door or approach me on the street?Did the WORLD turn UPSIDE DOWN and we are all living in COMMUNIST RUSSIA without KNOWING it??This thread started in 2007. was receiving calls 3 times a day on my cell, 4 days ago when they called i identified myself as a police detective with the homicide dept. i informed them that this phone was found at the scene of a homicide under investigation and for them not to contact this number. its been four days no calls
