The compnay that is calling you is Princeton Survey Resarch. And yes you can expect to get calls on the weekends. How I know this? I used to work at their only call center in Stafford VA. If you are on the Do not call list, then you should know that it does NOT apply to surveys and charities. Your number was randomly generated in their auto dialer system. The software recognizes the first 6 digits of a certain area in the country and the last four are randomly spawned. so they end up calling businesses too. Same goes with cell phones. If you haven't already asked to be taken off their List, follow these steps, 1. Do NOT interrupt the interviewer during their intro, wait until they are finished speaking. 2. Say these exact words.."PLEASE DO NOT EVER CALL MY CELL PHONE AGAIN" or Land line, but say it politely.3. We were trained to here these words, no matter how much you fuss and throw a hissy fit, if you do not utter these EXACT words verbatim, we will probably still end up calling you. The Interviewer is also required to convince you other wise, in an attempt to get you to do their survey anyway even if you already did step 2. This is called AIM. They will say something along the lines of " well sir/mam this is a very important study and we would greatly appreciate your cooperation in this study today" ect. decline POLITELY again and say in a very nice tone," I appreciate you calling me I really do, but I would rather not participate, I understand you are doing your job, I just don't want to be bothered anymore, therefore i would liked to be placed on your DNC list." do NOT hang up after you say this, that will only make things worse, let THEM have the final word. ALWAYS say thank you have a good evening/day and make sure it was a proper goodbye BEFORE you hang up. Make sure that they acknowledged that you wanted to be put on the do not call list. I have worked for this company for several years. I know the frustration you guys go sometime being called 3 times a day for a week. But the reality of the situation is that these surveys actually do help policy makers make decisions based on the information they receive from companies such as this one.
After reading through these comments I've come to the conclusion that AARP may be the source of MY phone calls. Thanks to the comment from another poster here, I was trying to find out about AARP by computer two days before these unwanted phone calls began happening, so I am pretty sure now that is the source. I didn't leave any info on the website, so they must have some way of tracing it by my just inquiring them somehow, hope this helps!
Yes, If you haven't already, read my comment i posted on John W's post, They are open & days a week, from 9 am to sometimes 12 am in the morning so you will get called on the weekends.
i called this number 6 X's today and left messages each time. hope her mail box blows up. let's stop these annoying calls!!!!!!
Doesn't matter.....they were not invited to call me on my cell phone (land line either). They're doing it, ultimately, to make money at MY expense. THAT'S just wrong. Everything is marketing in some way, shape or form. I and apparently millions of others want NO part of it and it needs to stop.
AJ, people here are talking about "unpleasant' and "impolite." I have no intention of listening to any of this obnoxious drivel, and told the caller in no uncertain terms not to call this number again. If they they think that's impolite, if they call again they will hear impolite.
Caller Id'd as Princeton Data conducting "survey". Interrupted him to ask where he got number, said number was randomly dialed. Told him not to ever call again, on "No Call" list. He started to argue as I hung up.
I have gotten calls from this number (540)898-8818,"FREDERICKSBURG, VA" every evening INCLUDING Saturdays AND Sundays the past two weeks. They are worse than summertime mosquitoes here in the South! !#*#&!!! Tried to see who they were with 'Reverse Lookup' on Google, so cud report them to FTC but even though the sites say "FREE" reverse lookup, you have to pay to get any info.
