This number left a voice mail on 30JAN2015. Said this was a call of a personal nature and if I was not so-and-so, to hang up and delete the recording, that it was illegal for me to listen to the recording if I was not the intended person. Then it said that if I was that person, that the caller would delay speaking for 6 seconds so I could get to a place where no one could over hear the messagel. BTW, I am NOT the person they were calling but they left the message on my voice mail anyway. After the pause, the female caller addressed a female by name: Laura, you have unpaid debt that is in collection. You need to take care of this now .... and on and on. Call us back immediately.Heck yes I listened to it. It is not illegal for me to listen to a message on my voice mail. I suspect it may be illegal for a debt collector to leave specifics like name, debt, amount, etc. on a phone number from who knows when. I've had the number for 11 years.

asks for private info and refuses to identify company

Call our headquarters everyday for people who don't work here. Asked to stop calling us, those employees do not work here......but call over and over.

that just call asking for the wrong person ...becarefull scam 2/3/15 tell them NOThing.......They would not give me any information pertaining . They said I needed to provide them with my information i.e. phone # and a receipt of my payoff. I said I wouldn't give out my info to them & I told them I never had a student loan. They keep calling everyday. Is this a SCAM? Report them!

You can lodge a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission but the Dept. of Interstate Commerce will deal harshly with companies that operate across state lines who attempt to treat people unjustly or break the law.
