I am writing this report while I am on the phone with Chinese or a Pilipino man calling from this 543-210-9876 and requesting my debit or credit card to deposit a grant of $8,300.00 from the federal government. I know whom am I dealing with. Just be careful talking to those thieves.
I started getting these calls from 543 210 9876 this week too The calls come several times a day sometimes back to back. I usually reject them, then I would get another call right after that the number filled in with zeros. I just received a call about 15 minutes ago and I finally answered. The guy on the other end says ,'how you doing ma'am." I replied who his this? what is this about and the started saying something about your application has won you $7,000 dollars. I quickly said this is [***] aand don't call my phone# anymore because you do I'm gonna call the police on your damn [***]. The guy on the phone (yeah with the Indian accent) replied you are [***]. I slammed the phone done. Something has got to be done. I'm tired of sob's.
Received call that I was picked to receive a government grant worth Millions from a Woman claiming to be from US Dept of Treasury. I told her I didn't believe her. She stated an address in Washington DC and asked me if I was interested. I replied no and she hung up. Sounded American and talked a little fast. Sounded to good to be true!
Dude this number is a total scam. Said i was selected for 1000 in grant money from the govt. Told me they would load it onto a green dot card.. i got sketchy and googled it cause ppl dont just give out free money. He knew i was a single parent? wtf!?
Also told me he was US Government. When I guestioned, "your part of the US government" he said "[***] you skeptical [***]." and hung up
I got a call from a male with maybe a Pakastan accent, named Sam Smith from Microsoft. He wanted me to open a website and give me a password to block hackers. I said that would make YOU the hacker!!!! No, call this #302-482-8155 X3344 at Microsoft and they will confirm who I am. I didn't but he called back, I told him that he was a liar and a thief. He replied 'No! I am a gentelman.' and hung up on me.
They called me today but I rejected the call... weird how i just applied for financial aid and other loans for school. I wonder how they got my number???????
I didn't answer, I was amazed a number like 5432109876 could exist. It LOOKED un trustable. My voicemail recorded a person saying, "he hung up!" That's all I got.
Just received a call from this number as well for a free $8500 grant! I told them that I was so excited that I felt like I had just won the lottery! LOL Anyway, they told me there were 3 ways to get the money - via direct deposit, through a credit card (right, I am sure that the government will load money onto a credit card!!!!), or as cash! I was going to request a check, but since that wasn't an option, I told them cash obviously!!! Then they asked me my name and address before I could receive the grant confirmation and phone number for verification but then when I asked what my name was, she told me (with a heavy accent) that she didn't have that information for security reasons. Then I proceeded to give them a false name and address. She then provided me with a 'Grant confirmation number" and number to call the Account Manager at the U.S. Federal Grants dept. She said that her names was Caroline (sure it is) and her manager's name is Sam Smith. Nice generic American names. Anyway, the number 'Caroline' gave me was for the 253 area code and when I asked where Sam and she lived she kept telling me the U.S. Federal Grants dept. then eventually said she was in D.C. Except that 253 is in Washington state!!!!!! I should have just told her that I don't believe that it is prudent economic policy for the government to be randomly handing out money like that and started railing against Obama, but I am at work and didn't think that fast. In any case, this is MOST definitely a ridiculous scam so please avoid answering this call unless you want to have fun with it like I did.
