Spoof calls can be made using made-up numbers. A post below explains it. My neighbors kids have been pulling this "joke" on people they know. The calls can even be recorded so they can review them and get a laugh out of the irate responses.
In the list of Area Codes by Number, 555 is reserved for Directory Assistance numbers. Tired of whoever this is calling multiple times a day for several days in a row. Programmed my phone to not ring when this number comes up :)BTW the whole Grand Rapids Pizza website is fake. Area code for Grand Rapids is 616; there is no Main Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan!
Got a call from 555-123-4567 at 11:15 am oct 10. It was a polling company. I think people use that number as an alternative to undisclosed or private . Its always sales or a poll or advertizing. Just do not answer it.
I got a call from this number at 7:21 pm cst. I think there are trying to get your phone number and try to find where you live and find your idenity. DONT PICK UP!

This number called my work # twice within 10 minutes, and all that was on the other end was a beeping sound
