I've received calls from 555-123-4567 on 2 separate occasions and would like to know who's using the # as well as how to get my private info off all computer sites.
I just received a call from 555-123-4567. I picked up, curious, and a man answered with a survey about my state's election and how I would be voting
I've been getting these calls for 2 weeks ,never answer them. They never leave a message ,and no I don't have At&t,have Time Warner phone service.Have any of you checked to see if you have been charged very long distance fees for answering the calls.I get calls from 555-000-0000 also.Scams like this have gone around before and they charge you mega bucks for just answering the phone. For your sake I hope this isn't so.
SO FAR... have received 2 calls - one yesterday, one today... i let the machine pick up and the "message" was a steady beeping noise for 3 minutes (not a fax machine). the exchange 555 is the one that is used on tv and in movies any time they need to say a phone number - 555 is used because it doesn't exist. this has to be someone using spoofing software to create a fake i.d.
I received a call approx. 4:30pm from this number 555-123-4567. It was a male voice asking to speak to my husband and even stated his name. I proceeded to tell him he was unavailable and he asked would it be okay if he called again later. When I started to answer, he hung up. You could tell he wasn't a representative from a company because he stumbled over his words and used "uh" several times. He did not have a script in front of him like they follow.
