I got a call last night from this number. They started to say something about a research company. I cut them off and told them it was too late to call our home at 9:10 pm. About half hour later we got another call with no caller id, they hung up as soon as I answered. Same thing thing happened again half hour later with only area code of 555 showing up. I was trying to keep them from waking up my husband who was sleeping. I call that harassment!
Two calls within one minute at 5:00pm PST, today, from "Unknown" caller. Phone# 555-123-4567. I just hit "Ignore" to both. No message was left on either call.
Some lady just called and hung up on me. Who is this call from? I don't want to be bothered by people hiding and not giving up correct info.
called at 5:45 p.m. I asked who is was and she said a public opinion poll. I said I don't do public opinion polls and I am on Do Not Call registry. She said that is only for telemarketers. I asked her to take my number off the calling list and she said she would. In all due respect she was a sweet sounding girl. I had a call the other day from 555-000-0000. I suspect it was the same deal. Both came in as name unavailble with the phone number.
I received 3 calls from this obviously fake number within 30 minutes. Luckily for me, I have metro block it on my phone. My guess is that whoever is calling people with this fake number is probably trying to hack into peoples phones when they answer.
Last 3 days been getting calls - come up as "ERROR" and or "out of area" - no response on other end when I answered the first time. With the next 4 calls - I didn't answer. Now calls coming in showing 555-123-4567. If the calls can be traced, find the brain donor(s) and tie them out over a red ant hill in the noonday sun.
This number called me twice tonight, a few minutes apart. One call left a voicemail - a recorded announcement asking me to hold to participate in a survey regarding "products we all use" and feedback to public officials. It said it was not a sales call. Yeah, right. Legitimate survey companies don't spoof their caller ID info with bogus information. Dishonest companies try to evade the "do not call" lists by claiming they are conducting surveys. When a representative came on the line, she repeated "hello" several times, rather cluelessly.
