Lower credit card rates robo-call scam.
Got this call about a week ago. I refused to press "1" on my keypad for fear that they would know that they found a live number and would post it on the Internet. I then blocked this caller.
stupid and pointless caller
I do not answer these calls anymore. I have to pay to receive them and I do not want to receive them.
left vm, recorded msg said to speak to a vacation specialist press 3 now
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the phone when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording and answer questions. Their recording claims, falsely, that this is the victim's second and final notification and that they desperately need to talk to a representative about lowering credit card interest rates. This is clearly not the behavior of any legitimate lending or financial institution. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by hanging up rather than providing a phone number when asked. This is clear a scam. Do not provide any personal or financial information to this scammer.
WARNING - Scammer Alert - WARNINGJust another of the 1000's of fake SCAM "lower your interest rate" SCAMMERS.They are phishing for your credit card numbers and personal info.
