received call and nobody was on the line

asked if i owned the computer and they were with IT dept. said no and he wasnt home and they hung up. real weird. did not reveal any personal info.

I got the same phone call stating they were from an IT company and that my computer had been hacked into. I talked with them briefly until I was sure it was a scam. When I told him I was going to hang up, he got real panicky and said, No, don't do that. I did it anyway. The guy had a very strong foreign accent.

This guy called me twice, but the 1st time was from a different number, claimed he was from the helpline of my cable/Internet/phone service provider and that my computer was sending out a virus. Didn't believe him and told him so. Called my cable/Internet/phone provider and asked if their helpline department was calling customers at home and asking questions about our computer. They confirmed their helpline people are not doing that. Registered a complaint with my service provider. The guy had such a heavy accent I could not understand half of what he was saying. He also said his name was Tom Cooper which was laughable considering he sounded like he was from India. He would not give me a number to call him back at either. I hung up on him.

Called and didn't leave a message. Caller ID said Name Not Found, everybody we know has a name. You'd think an IT company would have a name.

Received phone call from this number. Sounded Asian. Said they were going to be in the area to do estimates for hail damage from recent storm. Didn't offer name or company
