A few years ago, I actually received a letter from Medicare stating that my physician recommended that a student from the pharmaceutical school at the University of Arizona or whatever college is in Phoenix, I have forgotten, help me manage my prescriptions. I take many and was having some problems with my blood pressure medications.I listed the information on a form they sent and mailed the list in an envelope addressed to the college, which was included.A "student"called and went over all my prescriptions, telling me what each was for. I asked what I should and should not take together, which was the problem I was having. They had no clue and told me to ask my physician. I figured he had referred me because he did not want to take the time to do this.If this is a legitimate call and I DID receive the contact info from Medicare unless someone went to a lot of trouble to duplicate their forms, etc., it could be helpful to someone who was not sure what their medication was for or wanted to know very basic info.It has been over a year since they originally contacted me and I have had no problems with them, it may be a legitimate call, but, for me, it was a complete waste of time.Today, they called again from the number listed, wanting to update my information.I tried to match the phone number with a college, but was unable to do so, I just pulled up suspected scam sites. It would be helpful if White Pages Caller ID would check the number, but I am too cheap to pay for them to do so.
robo call no person on the line, I have land line phone w/ call block, so after several calls I block these sort of calls no problem - no more calls. yes they do call see it on caller id but does not call into home after a month or so, they stop.
They called and had all of my meds that I am currently taking. I just confirmed each one then hung up and was scared that I had done something stupid. It was strange bc they only asked for info that could easily be found using the Internet. Contacting my insurance tmr.Sidenote: Caller spoke perfect English. Usually I can't understand or comprehend what they are trying to say. Thought this was legit since they already had what they were asking for. Will update tmr.
Contacted my insurance and authories. SCAMMMM. They say they are pharmacist but they steal your info.
Blocked it!If an unknown number calls me and leaves no message, I automatically block the call. Thank you Charter Communications for the call blocking feature!
They called and I didn't answer and they left no message. I called back later using my Google (VOI) number, it Re-Directed to a Michigan number, (313) 718-2133,I got a recording saying if I wanted to speak a Med Management person to press 2.
Bull****! You didn't call any "authorities." How do you know that they steal your "info?"
