I receive calls from "Card Holder Services" at least once per day (sometimes 2 or 3 times). They have no clue what your current credit card rate is, what kind of credit card you have, or if you even have a credit card. I have tried hitting every number on the keypad to have my number removed from their call list to no avail. I have also tried talking to the representatives to get my number removed. As soon as I say anything that sounds like "I would like to remove my number from your list" they hang up. In the middle of saying "Remove" I was hung up on. I have asked for a supervisor and in the middle of saying the word "Supervisor" I was hung up on. I've asked why the keep calling and told them I don't have any credit cards and they hang up. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO (not even your credit card rate or if it is Master, VISA, or Discover)! They do not have any of your information other than a phone number and are phishing for credit card info. They need to be investigated by the FBI.
Just received a call from this number, no answer when I picked it up, no voice mail message received either. Typical for this type of scam.
I keep getting a call from this number. About once a week. They don't leave a message, and when I answer they hang up.
It's Rachel, from Card Holder Services...lol...no nothing is wrong with your account, we just want to offer you a lower interest rate on your major credit cards... UGH...
I have asked them to remove my name and before I finish my sentence they hang up. And then I get another call from them. Reported to DNC list but that does nothing! How many numbers can I block on my phone...they just use a different number! Ugh.
I hate scammers with a passion. To get them back, you can tie up their phone number, so they can't make outbound calls. Setup a FAX machine to endlessly dial their number. If the FAX is not accepted, it will try and try again...doesn't matter if they have a fax machine on the other end or not. If the FAX is accepted, make sure that your fax paper is taped in a loop, (makes them use all their paper) and some type of message written. Like don't call me any more. If they terminate the FAX, that means that your FAX was not received (paper loop), and your FAX machine will dial them again.
Got this call today too. My cell phone fortunately has an Auto-reject list. I know this scam org will just move to another phone number but, like others, i've received more than 1 call from them so at least i won't be annoyed.Advice - Never press 1 to talk to someone - that just validates your number and they can queue it up for future calls or selling to other scammers as a "known good" number.
These guys bug me about three times a day. They call my cell phone (don't know how they got that number). We need to sto the harassment. I'm on a do-not-call list, which they interpret as "call three times a day."
