The second part of this post says that the recorded message asks you to press 1, then 9, which will connect overseas, where someone else will use the telephone line and you will be charged exorbitant prices, so don't press 1 or 9, just hang up.

Called tonight and identified as Card Services. Their company works with all major banks to reduce your CC rate to 6%, all he needs is your CC issurer, 2 middle 4 digit numbers of CC, expiry date and CVS number. Then they can access your statement and their finanical advisor will work with your bank.Ha, he tried very hard to get this information, but I also tried very hard to keep him on the line to waste his time. about after 15 mins had enough of this scam and told him so.If everyone wasted 15 minutes of their time maby they will stop bothering us.NB, Canada

Caller wanted personal information and claimed to be from some credit company that does not exist.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.
