So, your information was sold to another group, who sold it to another group, who sold it to another group... By the time one calls, YOU forgot who you are, what you did and why someone may call you, however, YOU gave them permission. It's not fraud, it's not a scam, these aren't dirtbags trying to steal your identity or information, YOU already gave it to them with permission to use it, as everyone has said, they are calling to verify. This of course doesn't preclude the very odd chance they dialed a wrong number. Hilarious! They have called my direct dial line at work daily for the past two weeks. When I answered the first time, I received a "please continue to hold" message. I have not answered since.

Caller became offensive when I requested that she spell the name she mutilated so badly it could not be recognized. And grew even more offensive when advised that I was not able to transfer via job position, title or to blindly send her into a department.
