robocaller pretending to be Microsoft stating I needed to take action or all my data would be hijacked
I just got this call and they left a voicemail through an automated response thing, the voice sounded robotic, as if done through a cheap computer program. It said that there was an error in windows and that if I was the one using windows to call them immediately or else my personal information could be taken and my computer hacked.
From the posts, 607-310-8426 is more "microsoft" scam bulls**t !! Shoot 'em.I thought just a wrong number. Decided to check here. Good I did !!!

Listened to voicemail and said it was MS security dept blah blah blah. Total SCAM - look out - block the number.

Scammer, scam, scam.I did not answer as I don’t know anybody in New York, so it went to voicemail. Fake Microsoft robocall. Put on my list of blocked callers.
CallerID = Smith Technologies Called before 8am, I picked up because I was half asleep. Recorded female voice telling me that someone is trying to access my pc and steal my personal information. "If I want to protect my computer press 1 to connect to technology department. If no one is attacking my computer then this call is in error, please ignore." The last line is a new twist in this horrible old scam.
Missed call and it did leave an automated message about Security risks using Windows. The number displayed might be masking the real number since it was also used to market knee braces in other comments. blocking the number anyways!
