They call every day and several times a day. Never leave a message and i don't pick it up. I am going to block it today. It is so annoying they just don't give up
This IS Nomorobo. I do not think this is a spoofed number. The caller with a "blocked" ID hears a message telling them to dial a random number if they want to get through. It prevents the robodialers from getting through, but if a live person is on the other end of the phone and they dial the sequence instructions, your phone will ring with Nomorobo's phone number 608-371-6666. How do I know this? My sister tried calling several times from her phone that blocks her caller ID and was instructed by a recording that to prove she was NOT a robodialer, she needed to dial additional numbers on her keypad. She said this number sequence changed every time she tried to call. This is why everyone is hearing from from Dr's offices to spammers and why their phone immediately rings again after one ring. For the spammers, they do have a live person entering the number sequence as it changes every time. I told my sister to dial *82 to circumvent it.
Idiots called me at 6:18am. I picked up the second time they called and whispered an obscenity. They didn't call back!
Got 4 calls in just over an hour tonight. First call was from 608-371-6666. I reported it to NoMoRobo and they interepted the next 3 calls. I am on the Do Not Call Registry, have anonymous call rejection and call blocking. Not sure the FCC is dong anything. Some good guy must be smarter than these criminals. They should not be issued phones in the first place if the info they give the carrier is not legitimate.
I also got two phone calls bang bang. NMRB hung up on the first one and I got this one. My experience trying to mention NMRB is they always got set aside for review never to appear. NMRB works great. Pre NMRB I was having to block numbers every day. Now I rarely if ever have to block any. Thanks all of you for the great info.
