Call came up on my CID as "Maine Med Ctr". Funny, because I live in NJ. I haven't answered these calls for years, but for some reason this one intrigued me. The woman spoke my first name and asked if I was having any delivery problems with a magazine I cancelled a year ago. She asked why I cancelled it and I told her I get it through an app now. She hung up immediately after hearing that.
Many calls from this mark of the devil phone number. All stomped on by the robot stomper.
Well, your comment seems to have done the trick. Everyone's posts with the offending name seem to have been restored & it's evidently ok to mention [the free blocking service which shall not be named]. <--still not taking any chances. ;-)
NOMOROBO didn't block this number for me. Female with a heavy Indian accent said she was calling from Nationwide and wanted to lend me money, but needed to do a credit check on me, and wanted me to provide some information. I said goodbye and hung up.
Many calls today in 4 minutes from various numbers; One from 866-343-6666 (nomorobo got that one), then a call within a minute from 608-371-6666 that was not caught by Nomorobo and rang til my voice mail kicked in (of course they left no message). I got one from 818-865-9082 3 minutes after that caught be nomorobo. Going to post this on all three pages for these numbers.
A guy with an Indian accent left a message on my answering machine insinuating that I am being charged with three felonies and that I need to return the call to avoid being taken out of my residence in handcuffs. Pretty lame stuff!
Called five times consecutively today while my line was tied up in a telephone conference. Caller ID reads, "Maine Med Ctr" (do not live in Maine).
This must be a number used by generic telemarketers because I just got a call from them saying that they are RE/MAX and asking if I wanted to sell my house.
