I just received a call from a gentleman claiming that he was from Microsoft and that they were receiving red and orange alerts from my computer... He wanted me to log on and let me "help him" fix the errors... My caller ID said Service call 503-457-1050. I asked him a couple of questions, and then asked him if there was a phone number i could call him back at he gave me 609-531-0750. I then asked for a toll free number , when he said they do not have one I knew it was fake and hung up to google the number and found this link.
Received same phone call today however my caller I.D say's 891-000-0000 when asking for a number to call THEM back they too gave 609-531-0750. They asked for my cell number and I told them know. I asked how they knew who I was and how would they know that there were red and orange alerts comming from my computer. We called our internet provider and they advised me to call the police.
I received a phone call today from a woman by the name of Jasmine Walker from Alert Soft in Burlington, New Jersey (609) 531-0750. She claimed that Microsoft was receiving red flags from our computer which indicated severe compromise in our operating system. She wanted me to get on my computer, then she and the techs would instruct me on what to do to correct my computer problems.I took her information and told her I’d have to call her back.Contacted my phone company & my internet provider.Googled and found this link among others.
A woman called & stated she was from windows operatiom "red arrow boot" @ Alert Soft. @ 609-531-0750. She stated that they were receiving alerts that we were getting infectious things on our computer. Not viruses, but infections. I asked for a # to call her back on & hung up.
I got the same run around from a guy posing as a Microsoft help desk employee, John Wilson. This can be reported to Microsoft and the police. The call is from New Jersey. I'm in Ga. Careful when answering your phone nowadays. NEVER give any information out.
I got a call yesterday from them telling me I errors & warning signs on my computer and that it wasn't running correctly. said the micosoft ware wasn't working right. Bradon at Leftsoft said they were a subsicty of AT & T support group. I checked with AT&T and found out that they weren't. Their web site if your not happy with the work you have 30 days in which to get your money back. I am now fighting with them. To get the money back.
I have been calling Alert Soft @1-609-531-0750 on behalf of a friend of mine who was badgered into pay $175 for this company's phony service. They called her saying the same thing all the other postings are saying, that their were getting a satellite transmission that her computer was full of errors and would "crash" and become unusable if she didn't purchase their service. The bad news is, she used her debit card and purchased the service, but fortunately has been too busy each time they call her and try to get her to log on to her computer. I have been talking to "Chester Hudson" since Oct 18 trying to get my friend's money back. First they said they couldn't refund the money because their "system was down." Chester said she should file a "charge back" claim with her back, which she did, but has not gotten a refund. Then on 11/30/11 "Chester" said he would refund the money afterall and my friend would have her money in 48-72 hours. I just spoke with "Chester" again since my friend hasn't gotten the refund. Now he is saying he can't refund the money because since she filed the "charge back" the matter is out of his company's hands!! Bogus.......DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT talk to anyone from this company if they call you, you do NOT need their "service"
I received a call from a man who said he worked for windows service center at Microsoft. He said they were receiving alerts that my computer was infected and they needed access. I ask for his phone number, he gave me 609-531-0750. This number is NOT MICROSOFT. This is a SCAM!!!
