Scam, as the other posts have said.I pushed -1- and decided to string the phone operator along.How much credit card debt do I have? $81,000. How many cards is it spread over? 15. Issuer of card with highest debt? Ummm, Wells Fargo, I think. (Made that up.) Is rate more than 10%? I think so. Last name as it appears on the card? Garcia (made that up, too). Expiration date? 01/14.They told me that since I've made six consecutive payments, I'd be eligible for something or other. They asked if I had the card in front of me. I said no. They said they'd wait while I got it. I said that wouldn't work since I was at work and the card was home.I then offered to call them back when I got the information, since I was so interested in their offer. They made up a 1-800 phone number with 8 digits (!) and hung up.Next time, I'm going to "go off into the next room" to find the card, to waste even more of their time.If only there was a way I could feed them a police-monitored credit card number...

I got the same call but I dont have any credit cards.

I just got a call from this number. I have been getting calls from the same place using many different numbers and area codes making it impossible to block the calls. They call about ever 3-4 days, always using a different number to call from. This is the first time I got a call from this specific number. I called my carrier, there is literally nothing they can do other than recommend changing my phone number. But if these [***] got the number once, what's to stop them from getting it again. I can't keep changing my phone number, there are medical issues involved. Could these people be getting our phone numbers from doctors, medicare, social securty, or even banks? We don't have a credit card but we do have debit cards. Did they get that information too? Do they have our social security numbers? They know they are breaking the law and they are doing it on purpose. There has to be a way to stop them.

Called today around 4:46 pm pst, I am on the do not call list

this number called me then hung up when I said hello. tried to call back and ot busy signal on my cell. called from work phone and voicemail is full the nam said mike anderson.

calls, never leaves message, how did they get this number? it is a work cell......

Typical scam, most recent number is 612-222-7091. Last call I got, I hit '1' to speak to an operator, feigned interest in the offer to reduce my credit card rates, said I had a couple of questions about the program, then asked the operator how it felt to scam people for a living. Surprisingly, he tried to defend them. As I shot holes in his argument, he eventually call me a name and hung up, but not until I'd gotten him pretty worked up. Hadn't heard from them in about a month since that happened, until today. I felt better frustrating them for a change.
