This seems to be a new type of scam. The only word said was "Hello" then it proceeded to give a recorded message after asking some question to which I said nothing (this set the stage for the rest of the call - never said a word.) Mentioned about a recent stay [there was none] and then wanted to know if I had a credit card [now they are fishing] then further insisted that a credit card was needed at most hotels [I was not booking a reservation and if one were needed I would take care of it there and not over the phone.My new rule,don't even talk to these people/answering machine/voice response systems. They are all scams. And yes, the DNC list is totally useless because there are, like everything Washington D.C. does, full of loop holes.
The government needs to become proactive. On a do not call list and they keep calling from this Boston number. Shameful. Thank you.
Just got a call from this number. I live in MA so I almost answered but decided against it. I'm planning my wedding and went to a wedding expo in Worcester MA in January. I signed up for the grand prize there (didn't sign up for anything else there) and have since been receiving all kinds of junk calls like this one. My guess is my number was sold off to these scam companies.
Thanks for the heads up. I just got this call on my cellphone. Don't forget that you can probably block certain callers. On an iPhone, you just call up the list of missed calls, tap the i in the circle, and scroll down to "Block this caller"
Called June 11, 2015 very early in the morning, rang 3 times and stopped. I have registered my cell and house phone a few times with the do not call system but I keep getting calls.
I have already blocked this number and reported them to FTC.Only writing because I can see this is high volume Scammer.

Got a letter that said I applied for an AMAZON card. Called the number to inquire what this was for, they started asking for personal information. When I said no they hung up on me.

Scam debit collector. I say 'scam' because I don't have a credit card, loan, lease, tuition, or debit or any kind. I own my home, vehicle, and everything in them. There's not a single reason for a debit collector to be calling me.
