I receive calls from this number just about every day (not answering) .... today also received text to call Verizon Wireless at 800 688 9286. I'm ignoring it....went to Verizon's site, and nothing wrong with my service or my bill (I'm on auto pay). Sounds like phishing to me.

This is Verizon Wireless Financial Services, this is not a scam. They handle verizons collections and payment arrangements. Im quite late on my bills and get calls from these guys often.. After you get these calls from the people and dont answer they will just shut your phone off 1 way so when you dial out your call will be re routed to financial services. They have been helpful with keeping my service on while I make slow payments.

I got my first call from this number last week. I pressed "not the person" we are trying to reach selection. The woman that came on wanted the account info. I told her she was the phone company she should have my info. She asked if I was the account holder. No, it's in my wife's name. She wanted her SSN and then got mad at me when I laughed and said "yeah, right." Like that was going to happen. The text came today. So the boss...er...wife checked her account. All is well. Yep, sounds like phishing to me.

It is not a scam. Verizon farms out their collection services and makes calls from phone numbers all over the country. It is unfortunate that they'll call you multiple times a day when you're only a week late and have been a customer for 12 years. I can see how people may think this is a scam, but it isn't.Don, you're an idiot.

We keep getting calls, text messages and emails from Verizon first saying there has been a change in the account. I am the primary and they didn't call my phone (weird) then they kept calling from different number called Verizon and they said it was not then And to not give any info. Then when I call the number it ties me straight to "financial services"...so what is a change to my account or financial services?!?! And I have NEVER BEEN LATE OR MISSED A PAYMENT!!! This is a total fraud!!

just got call, no message. I have Verizon wireless (for a few months now) but don't owe them money. I don't know if I should block it or not... Why wouldn't it say Verizon on the CALLER ID? It says Boston MA

oh, this call came on my landline with is through my cable company and noting to do with my Verizon cell phone. We don't even have Verizon landlines where I live.

617-830-7578 is a collection agency for Verizon, that's why they lie and say they're a Verizon financial service and want your info but can't give you any info
