Called on behalf of my credit union to confirm a foreign purchase was made by me. They left a nice voice mail with an reference number. Totally legit and just my bank doing its due diligence to protect me.
They called my mobile # Wednesday at 5:09 p.m. and again just a few minutes ago. Both calls were missed, so I don't know who they were other than obviously it's some type of out-of-state business. We dont have BMW credit card, unless they acquired something in an acquisition or merger. All bills (exc. for medical, which we're already making arr. monthly pyt. and collections aren't supposed to bother you) are up-to-date; so I can't imagine it's a collection agency. I just don't like answering unsolicited calls (usually telemarketers) to my mobile phone on my dime (literally).
This call is from PSCU - who are the fraud detection folks for my credit union. Apparently someone tried to use my card/account today in another state (where I am not). They saved me from a WORLD of trouble!
