keeps calling, but no one speaks when i answer

You BabyDoll, Pontiac and anyone else who says this number is really from the American Express Comany. You are either the scammers or just really STUPID, or perhaps both? This is a scam number! When in doubt ALWAYS call the number on the BACK of your credit card. Never call a number left on an automated message or you may very well become their next victim!

Just got a call from this number and I dont have any credit cards. How do report this?

American Express, calling to find out when could I pay my card. No problem.

Got a call from this number, same thing, something wrong with my account. Called American Express number from my card, looked my information, nothing wrong with my a ccount. A scam to call 1-800-592-1160. I called to see what the deal was and they immediately wanted my card number. What a SCAM and an evil way of doing business

They have been hounding me for weeks. I didn't recognize the number so I never answered. I figured if it was important they would leave a message and after about 8 calls from them, I finally got a message. The real kicker though is that I don't even have an American Express card. So whatever they are calling about is clearly some kind of sham. I'm not about to call them back.

I just got a call from this number, but wasn't at my desk, and I don't even have an American Express card! They didn't leave a message - apparently they were surprised when they discovered they were calling a US government facility...

I have been getting calls from this phone number once a day, no one is there when you answer. Then today the number is dialing me about every 2 hours.

Call from this number asking for a former employee. I just said there was no such person here.The caller then just hung up.

Keep getting calls on my cell phone from this number: 623-492-6031. They don't leave a message, they just hang up. When I call the number back I get a recoding asking for my personal information including my complete social security number. I never give that out so I hang up. From all the post it looks like the number belongs to Amex..but I don't have a credit card with Amex so why would they be calling me?
