Folks,This # is 100% legit! We had American Express personally call this # and had a nice 3 way conversation. This is AMX collection agency in Phoenix that will auto dial your phone # if your payment is late or not received for any reason as a courtesy call. No, I don't work for AMX but had to finally get to the bottom of these annoying calls. AMX says the calls will usually stop after 24-48 hours account is brought back up to be current. One more note: AMX live customer service can't do anything about this as it is a separate division of AMX but if your account is current with no issues and you still are receiving calls more than 48 hours later, speak with AMX customer service and have them dial this # to tell the collection agency to stop the calls. We received 2 calls already today from this number, but the call has to go through our automated system first then to reception. By the time these 2 calls got to me their message was done and no one on the other end. At least they won't get any information from me, stupid scammers.

So true this is a scam, they leave a message and give a 800 number. Anybody can set up a fake 800 and answer it American Express, we called the number on the back of our Amex card ( a totally different number they want you to call) no problem with our card, they did not even try to connect us. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THESE PEOPLE they should already have it if it's truly real!

Update: They keep calling for someone that no longer works in my office. I've told them dozens of times "X" no longer works here. Today I finally told them "X" does not work here any longer; I've told someone there over the last few weeks that "X" no longer works here, please stop calling here for "X". Let's see if that does it. I will get a number to call and tell them to stop calling for "X" and I do not have a number to call "X" at. For some reason they must think I'm lying to get them off "X's" back, but I'm not lying about"X" no longer being employeed here. UGHGHHGHGHGHHGH!

I am getting daily calls to a private unlisted number from this 623-492-6031. I do not have an American Express account not am I or ever was an AMEX customer! These calls started up this month and it's not the only one, I'm getting several others and I do not have any credit card accounts or nothing! What the hell is this!??!!!

Called wonting to know information on my account. I told him Amx had it all to look it up. He kept asking questions I finnaly told him tocall AMX. Ask to be removed from call list or he would be talking toan attorney.Why don't they hire people that speak plain English.

Fell behind on my AMEX card due a dramatic cut in pay. American Express said they would have someone call me to set up a payment plan. Someone from this number called and they had all my info. She was very helpful and we set up a payment plan. They took the payment and sent my account to a collection agency the next day. Not cool.
