I doubt that Peerless Networks cares. They're making money from this caller, not from you, so who are they going to listen to? The only way to stop these kinds of calls is to sue the [***]! You can do that under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

caller ID said "Customer Service" and the 630 area code. A recorded message said "you qualify for a $250,000 business loan, would you like this loan today? Press 1" the person that answered repeated the same and asked if he could ask 3 questions, I said "me first" Name of business? he said Business Loan Center of Irvine California. I said: "and I qualified for this loan because I answered the phone? Laughter.... then he astutely observed that I wasn't interested in money today and to have a nice day.....click. I should of asked if they had a number I could call if we get "disconnected" !! Oh, I did ask if they had a website and he said that he would give it to me after I talked with the "5 minute specialist" whatever that is. thanks 800notes.com for this chance to communicate.... UniKyrn, you're either an idiot or working for these telemarketers. This one is Entrust Merchant Services (www.entrustms.com) and they're based in New York city. How do I know? A friend of mine stayed on the line with them long enough to identify them. That's who you sue under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. You can get up to $3,000 (yep, three thousand!) per call under that law when you win your case, which you unquestionably will. In most states, you can sue them in small-claims court, which makes it especially easy!

Some of us don't have the option of not answering. When you're a business you most often have to answer the phone or you'd have a lot of p.o'd customers that don't want to get a voicemail when they call your office.
