These guys are relentless!Call 1 800-689-7120 and wait for the final option(s) to be removed from the PCONY calling list. There is a disclaimer at the end of the message, so the call might not stop.

I actually willingly made a small dination years ago. After being constantly harassed by every police organization in the state of NY, I have dropped my support. PCONY called again tonight even after I registered with their ‘do not call’ list. It has been only one day sinceI registered, so I don’t expect the registration to take effect until later in the week. I was home to answer the phone when they called tonight. I tried to stop them from giving their spiel, but alas. After getting through the rehearsed dialogue, I told them that, “No, I am not willing to continue supporting you, as you have been calling me nonstop for months.” The individual said, “Oh,” and hung up immediately. The best thing to do is simply answer your phone and tell people not to call (be mildly rude if you have to). I don't expect them to call again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was HOUNDED AND PESTERED DAY AND NIGHT BY THOSE stupid "631 pcony" calls. I received several dozen of those calls. No one ever spoke when I answered, nor did anyone ever leave a message. If the police want the respect and charitable support of the public, they are going about it the wrong way. I have not suffered from phone harassment for years, until now. One Million Thanks to the person posting the 1 800 number above to remove.

I have been getting calls from these people at least twice a day over the past month or so. I finally answered this morning and after saying "Hello" I got the usual telemarketing pause then I heard the guy say "oh sh__". I said "who is this?" and then the guy asks to talk to Mr or Mrs ____ and I said that I don't like to be sworn at. He said "Who was swearing?" and I told him "you just said oh sh__" and he said that it wasn't him! Unbelievable!

The same thing just happened to me. Phone rings, husband picked up and there was no one there. Got the number (631-840-1020) off my caller id.

The call seem to be from some type of police fundraiser. Answered once before and ask for information to be mailed to me and they staed they couldn't unless I donated something then hung up the phone. Its a scam. I'm on a do-not-call list and some how they kep calling around dec-feb. I think its some type of scam.
