Keep getting calls at least once a week. I say hello but no one answers and then they hang up. CID says New York, NY 840-1020.

Keep getting calls from this number repeatedly at all hours. I've picked up the call once without a response. Tried your suggestion K & called the 800# & pressed 9. The message indicated I was calling The Police Conference of New York (PCNY).Hoping that this works & it's not more of a scam to verify someone live is at the end of my # b/c I'm responding.Such a pain in the [***].

these people wont stop calling our home, they have sold our number to other companies and we now have several different numbers calling us.... we keep blocking they call from a differnet number... all i can say is DO NOT ASWER... once you do they have your number and then other companies call you.... block their number your phone should have that feature in your intital settings...

received a call from this number twice in one day. both times he repeated my first name several times as if he thought I was on the phone...Mary? Mary? Mary? Mary? He doesn't leave a message. I received the same weird call several days earlier.

caller ID shows PCONY- i do not pick up anymore, i know its a tellemarketer because of the long delay or pause after i say hello.

called-message stated wait for person..young man got on phone asked for my my mother first(by Mrs)-when i stated she was unavailable and asked who was calling..the man then asked for my father.when i stated he was deceased and i asked the caller to identify himself, he asked when my mother would be available. When i pressed him if he was a telemarketer and that this number was on the do not call registry, he hung up..based on area code it is Riverhead NY..tried calling number right back-was told number was not in service.They must be using a routing number so no one can call them back...If this pops up again on the caller id-will def not pick up..Even if organization is exempt-if they are asked to identify themselves-they should..Sounds like a scam..

PCONY 631-840-1020 appeared on caller id box. when they called, answering machine picked up, but no answer was left. when i called the number, an automated message announced Police Conference of New York, a fund raising organization. if you call the 1-800 number they tell you and follow voice prompts, you can be placed on the Do Not Call List.
