The caller is Maritz Research and they do market research for various companies, hence the different posts about different products. They are exempt under the Do Not Call.
I am on the do not call list, how do they get numbers? on other sites it says this number is a telemarketing number!!!!!! I don't answer if I don't know the number. No message left.
Received a call from this number a few moments ago stating they were from Bank of America and wanted to speak to the owner of our company. Our caller ID showed "Maritz Research". I told her I'm not giving out any information because they are a scam!*Note: I keep a short cut of this website (800notes) on my computer desktop so I can quickly type in the number that is calling me to see if it's a scam. Thank you 800notes. :)
do not known this number do not answer would like call blocked and not be called again
Jim, I couldn't have said it better myself! I run a business out of my home and business telephone numbers are exempt from the Do Not Call list. Why? Because politicians are given way too much money by businesses trying to peddle their crap by calling and interrupting my work. I got a call from this "Maritz Research" but didn't answer; they hung up without leaving a message on my answering machine. I've gotten to where I don't even answer calls when they're not calling from my home state. It's sad that business customers cannot opt out from receiving telemarketing calls. Well, a couple of years ago I called my sorry senators in Georgia, Saxey Chambliss and Johnny Isaakson's office to complaint, and their position was the reason business lines were exempt from being on the Do Not Call List was because the telemarketers might be calling to offer a service or product I might be interested in. Oh, really? I guess I know who's donating tons of money to their campaigns -- businesses and telemarketers. If I don't want the dang calls, I don't want them, plain and simple. Also, I am more than capable of searching and buying products and services without telemarketers pushing their crap. Honestly, who in their right mind would actually agree to buy a product or service from a telemarketer? I don't know of anyone who has, ever. Most people buy in stores or from reputable businesses online. As we've seen way too many times over the past few years, Congress is totally dysfunctional and we need to vote these idiot senators out of office. They are like a bunch of children arguing over the kick ball and who gets to be "first." Oh, and reporting abusers to the FCC is a joke! Funny how the NSA invades Americans' privacy every day, but we cannot stop telemarketers and put them out of business.
Well jim when did this become the vent line? your ranting is a waste of space.........Get a life
