Just got a call from these [***] at 10 PM. Picked up, no one there but a robot voice saying "goodbye." Called back and it just kept ringing. Sick and tired of being woken up this late at night by scam calls.

My husband got a call on 4/23/2015 from someone who said he was from Microsoft and said they had identified a computer virus on our computer and that they would need to access it to take care of it. My husband knows better, but he never questioned the man on the phone. They hacked into our computer and we were not able to bring it back up. We have spent hours and hours both yesterday and today dealing with this scam. I am furious that this is still happening 2 years later! The phone number on the caller ID was (646) 612-3456.

Called on my cell. After their initial speech, I told caller I didn't understand a word she said. Please repeat clearer. Hung up.However, I used to get this call on my land line. The last time I played along. After a long discussion on what they wanted, I told them to wait while I turned my computer on and booted up. Then just put the phone down for 5-10 minutes. Then when they gave me instructions, I told them their number didn't match my computer. It must be another computer in the house. Wait until I go upstairs and turn another one on. Another 5-10 minutes watching tv. At this point they decided I should talk to their supervisor. Went thru everything all over again. He asked if second computer was up yet. Said yes, but still no match. Must be a different computer. He asked how many we had. I said 7. By this time (nearly 45 minutes!) I couldn't contain my laughter. Told him I knew this was a scan and thanked him for a little entertainment! He hung up. They haven't called back on that line since. Didn't really waste too much time since I was watching tv in my recliner the entire time.

This scammer is at it again. Yesterday I got a call from a Vickie at 631-318-7105 with thick India accent claiming to be from Windows and I had a lot of virus on my Windows. Yeah [***]!! Today I got another call from this number 646-612-3456 from a guy with thick India accent saying he was calling from Microsoft. This scammer has been doing this since 2003 and I even found this online about it: Anyone with questions or information is asked to contact Torrington police Sgt. Vinny Calabrese at 860-489-2058. Called from Microsoft support wanting access to our computer to steal bank passwords and credit card numbers to defraud us and steal any money that we have. I declined his invitation.

Got a call from them today. The man's accent was so thick, I could hardly understand him. He kept repeating he was calling about "computer" (not "the computer") I knew it was a scam and hung up. They keep calling back!

This scammer has been doing this since 2003 or even longer. You would think they'd be in jail by now or maybe they got out and are starting again!! Rec'd a phone call this morning, 2nd in 2 days claiming they are with Windows and that I have more than 1 virus on Windows. Yesterday was a lady named Vickie with India accent and a different phone number and today it was a guy you could barely understand with his thick India accent and told him that if you partner with Windows, then send me a message and hung up. Of course they can;t since they haven't stolen my personal info yet. He couldn't even pronounce my last name and just said first name.
