Usual Windows scam though this time they didn't mention Windows, just said my computer was sending messages "to the main server". I said the main server was in [my current location] not New York. They said it was in Austin Texas. I said that was a lie and called them frauds and scam artists, and said "you may want to hang up the phone before I start swearing at you". They hung up and we had a good laugh.

Got a call from this number! It's another scam! Weird how o don't give out my number but get more calls now than ever before.

called here, no machine. phone rang 4 times then hung up.

Yet again I received a call from this number claiming to be from Windows. I told the man I didn't need my Windows replaced, but I do need new flooring could he do that for me, he hung up. SCAM Me THINKS.

I wished these people would know they are calling Hawaii number the time zone is different from New York it is six hour different 4:00 am is not accceptable and rude!!!

616-612-3456 is a shell game. Most of the idiots that call from this number can't speak English and say they are fromMicrosoft. The only problem for those vegetables is that they are too dumb to know that Microsoft doesn't call anyone.You can string them along if you want but NEVER GIVE THEM INFORMATION. Not even a name. The more you get them to talk, the more you'll find out that what they say doesn't make sense!

Phony MS solicitor...tempted to waste enough of their time making them think I'm unstable that they won't call back 'What kind of underwear are you wearing?' 'Do you lick whipped cream off your dog?' or ask to speak w their supervisor repeatedly...but mostly I refuse to answer.

I had this slimeball call me too- my computer had malware (I had been running it without an antivirus by mistake)- to prevent such criminal acts:do a scan with the free MBAM-quarantine and then delete everything it finds,then load AVAST (free) antivirus to prevent future incidences.That said, why is this scammer not been stopped by the law- this thread is from 2013!
