Ridiculous. Mr. Facebook is not calling anyone. It's a spoofed number and it's a scam. The end. Don't know the caller ? Don't answer the call unless you want more of the same and all of it's scamscum friends. The very worst thing anyone can do is to call back and ask them not to call you-do you actually think they care what you want (or don't want) from them ? It's like telling Mr. Thief not to rob you, that your really don't appreciate it and if he does it again you are going to get so mad you will call the police.

you are correct. it's a scam, the number is spoofed by an offshore caller who uses any number, the more familiar the better (Kudos to whomever was able to hack thru a Facebook account - more proof that it's the least secure of all multi user social accounts). Facebook hahahha. . But it's how the scammers get away with scamming - they get fools to answer the phone or , even better yet, to call them back . Big business, the selling of phone number lists.

The caller ID read FACEBOOK. It was a recorded message about getting more website traffic. Definitely a spoofed number with a junk call.

(650) 543-4800 called me after i called a 800# to fix a facebook issue. The (650) 543-4800 number called and claimed they were making sure everything was working fine. I said yes everything is working and then the indian sounding guy started trying to get me to give him info off of my laptop which doesnt exist. (I only use a cell phone) i played along for afew minutes and after afew minutes he began yelling at me telling me im wasting his time and how he has my address and my credit card number and he will make my life a living hell. This number is a scam. The guy is fun to mess with.
